Released in 1983- The second and last Tamarack album on vinyl... with the original line-up of Jeff Bird, Randy Sutherland and Myself. We were still predominantly a traditional Celtic trio. "Mining For Gold" on this album was my first attempt at an original song written in the spirit of the traditional tunes. It was based, in fact, on a traditional folk song from British Columbia. I Gave it a new melody and mostly new words and the resulting song has had lots of adventures including a famous cover by the Cowboy Junkies and frequent use in films, even a TV commercial. Recorded at Elora Sound by Bill Mather. The dramatic artwork is by Wilma Foley and we had to spend more on the printing to retain that gold leaf look in the colours
